Oman
Due to a sandstorm our flight was cancelled, this meant we had to jump
on a coach to muscat, one change and four hours later we arrived at the airport
and quick taxi took us back to the intercontinental in time for drinks at the
palm beach bar!
Spent Six hours travelling today, and I've made it to marmul via muscat and nimr.

Its day seven of my whirlwind trip around Oman, Flying into Muscat
I got to spend all of 6 hours in the hotel before travelling back
to the airport to catch a domestic flight to Fahud. Fahud airport is
was a staggering reminder of how far I'd come from Heatrow terminal 5's
lounge. Once disembarked, it was a brisk 200m walk to the arrivals hall,
or room, we then waited with the other passengers wondering where the baggage claim
area is. 5mins later, a small panel of the wall disappeared, through
which bags began hurled through.
Outside the airport there where two coaches, we boarded the one to
lekwair and hit the road.
The road to lekwair is the same as all major dessert roads. straight, flat,
with little traffic. Lakwair is on the northern boarder with Saudi, and rough 140ks
from fahud, supposedly it is the hottest place on earth where man works, I saw
a Control room wall panel reporting max temperatures of 56oC! Luckily my experience
was a cool 31oC.

Here's a few snapshots of my time in Germany & Belgium. The early starts and late finishs means theres
a lot of sunrises and sunsets...
